The Performance
What time does the band usually arrive?
Arrival is typically 2 hours before the performance time for load-in, setup, and soundcheck. Timings can be adjusted to fit your event schedule.
How long does it take to set up?
Set-up and soundcheck usually takes between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the band size and venue access.
How long will the band perform?
Standard performance packages include:
- 2 x 45-minute sets (1x 90-minute set possible)
- 2 x 60-minute sets (our most popular option)
These can be tailored to suit the format of your event — for example, split into shorter segments throughout the evening (3×40-minute sets)
How long are the breaks?
Breaks are usually 30 minutes, but can be adapted to fit speeches, dinner service, or award presentations. If you’ve booked a DJ as well, the transition is seamless.
When should the band start their first set?
This is flexible, but for evening events we typically suggest starting the first live set after dinner and speeches to ensure maximum impact.
Can we choose the setlist?
You’re welcome to highlight favourites or let us know what styles to include (or avoid). Our bands are experts in reading the room and curating a dynamic experience — we encourage some flexibility to get the best results
Is music provided during the breaks?
Yes.
- Silver & Gold packages include curated background playlists.
- Platinum & Ultimate packages include a professional DJ to keep energy levels high throughout the event.
What do the performers wear?
For corporate events, we typically perform in smart, stylish attire to complement your brand or dress code. We’re happy to tailor the look if your event has a specific theme.
Do the performers need a changing room?
Yes – a secure space is required for artists to store personal belongings, change outfits, and have their meal.
Will the band bring their own sound equipment?
Yes – all our acts are fully self-contained with high-quality PA systems. For larger events or venues, we can provide upgraded sound and lighting packages, including AV crew.
Do you supply walk-on music or stings for awards ceremonies?
Yes – we can provide custom stings (short music bursts) for award winners, keynote speakers, and more. These can be performed live or pre-mixed by our DJ.
Booking & Logistics
How do I secure a booking?
To confirm your act:
- Sign and return the booking agreement.
- Pay a deposit (25% or 50%, depending on the package).
Are there any hidden fees?
No – all travel, setup, and performance costs are included in your quote unless additional services are requested.
Can we book multiple acts through you for different parts of the event?
Absolutely. Many clients book a combination of acts — such as an acoustic act for a drinks reception, followed by a showband and DJ for the afterparty — all through one seamless booking.
Can you provide entertainment throughout the day or across multiple event segments?
Yes – we can provide music and entertainment for every stage of your event, including daytime background sets, walk-on stings for awards, and high-energy evening party sets.
Can you help us create a full entertainment schedule?
Yes – we regularly work alongside event planners and AV teams to help shape the entertainment flow, including timings, transitions, and atmosphere-building moments.
What if a band member is unavailable on the day?
We work with a trusted network of elite professional musicians. In the rare event of illness or emergency, a suitable replacement will step in — without compromising the quality of your event.
Do we need to provide food and drinks for the band?
Yes – all acts require a hot meal and soft drinks, especially for full-day or evening events. This is a standard industry request.
Can the band work with a sound limiter?
Yes – all our acts are experienced with sound-restricted venues. Please let us know the decibel limit and any technical specifications during the booking process.
When is the final balance due?
The final balance is due up to 7 days before the event.
Can we see the band live before booking?
Many of our acts perform exclusively at private events, so public performances are rare. However, we may be able to share private video footage or invite you to a rare public gig.
How far in advance should we book?
For key dates (e.g., Christmas parties, summer events, and conferences), we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance.
Can we customise the lineup?
Yes – we offer flexible lineups to suit your event size, budget and style.
Do you provide entertainment internationally?
Yes – GoldBeat acts are available for events worldwide. Travel and accommodation costs are factored into each bespoke quote.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full terms are in your booking contract. Your deposit is non-refundable. Here’s a summary:
- Force Majeure – No cancellation fee.
- Other cancellations:
- Within 48 hours of booking: No fee.
- Up to 90 days before event: 50% of remaining balance due.
- Up to 61 days before event: 75%
- Within 60 days: 100%
Can we schedule a site visit or production call ahead of the event?
Yes – we’re happy to conduct a venue visit or production call, especially for large-scale or high-profile events. Just let us know your needs.
Venue & Technical Requirements
Do we need to provide a stage?
A stage isn’t essential, but it does enhance visibility and atmosphere – especially for larger or high-end events
What power supply is needed?
Most acts require at least 3 x 13-amp sockets each side of the performance area. We’ll confirm exact requirements during the planning stage.
Is the band’s equipment PAT tested and insured?
Yes – all equipment is annually PAT tested, and all acts hold up-to-date Public Liability Insurance.
Can the band perform outdoors?
Yes – as long as the performance area is covered, weatherproof, and has a safe power source.
